We bought this when all other optiins had failed to get rid of single cell algae. Wow, did it work! Within 9 days the Koi pond went from not seeing more than an inch into water, to seeing all the way to the bottom, around 40" at the deepest point. Water is now crystal clear and continues to be several weeks later. VERY impressed with this UV light. Have a 1200gal pond. Wish I had tried it sooner, but was a bit pricy. In the long run would have saved me quite a bit if I had just gotten it to begin with.
