This unit performs as the instructions state and a google search shows that UV-C light IS the type of light that disinfects surfaces. Past that, I cannot find a way to test if this device does have UV-C lights as advertised or if the surface of the pacifiers are indeed sanitized. I’m working on this.Other than that, this is a very compact device that you can use with batteries or while being plugged in. Articles I’ve read state that UV-C lights degrade over time which means that the disinfecting will be less over time. How much time? Not sure.Basically, if you’re a “pick up a paci and throw it in your mouth to clean it off” parent, this could be a nice option for you.If you are a parent that boils your pacifiers every time they touch the floor - I would skip.I will definitely be using this at the park and/or events, places where boiling water, soap, etc are not available. I hope this helps!
